General Tso Tofu

1 tbs Oil
1/4 cup Onion, chopped
2 tbs Garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp Ginger, minced
1 1/3 cup Vegetable Broth
1/4 cup Braggs Liquid Aminos or Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1/3 cup Sugar
2 tbs Lemon Juice
A dash of Cayenne Pepper
2 tbs Water
2 tbs Cornstarch
1 pack (14 oz) Firm or Extra Firm Tofu
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Ground Ginger
1/2 tsp White Pepper
3/4 cup Cornstarch
Oil as needed for frying
1-2 bunches Broccoli

Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.

In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu and fry until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Sautรฉ for about 1 minute until fragrant.

In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.

Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and bring to a simmer.

Add the fried tofu back into the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.

Add diced bell peppers and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the peppers are tender.

Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
