Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a panettone mold or a high-sided baking dish.
Cover the dough again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool in the mold for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
