Soak fava beans overnight in water.
Drain and rinse the soaked beans.
Boil the fava beans in fresh water until tender, about 1-2 hours.
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Add the cooked fava beans to the skillet and stir in lemon juice, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Mash the beans slightly with a fork while mixing them with the spices.
Transfer the mixture to a serving dish and drizzle with more olive oil.
Garnish with chopped parsley, diced tomatoes, and cucumbers.
Serve with warm pita bread and labneh on the side.
Sprinkle za'atar and chili flakes over labneh before serving.
Add pickles to the platter for extra flavor.
