4 servings
Servings4
1 lb Argentinian shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup McCormick's tempura batter
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
1 tsp Morton's nature seasoning
1 tsp Lawry's seasoning salt
1 cup ice cubes
1/2 cup water

Quantities are estimated based on standard recipes for your convenience. The actual ingredients used in this video are accurate.

1

Clean the shrimp by washing them in cold water, removing shells and veins, and placing them in a colander.

2

Put the shrimp shells in a separate metal bowl after cleaning.

3

Pour vegetable oil into a pot, filling it about three-quarters full, and heat it to approximately 350 degrees.

4

Prepare the tempura batter by mixing 1 cup of McCormick's tempura batter with 3/4 cup of cold water, adding ice cubes to keep it cold.

5

Stir the batter until it reaches a consistency that will stick to the shrimp, adjusting with more water if it's too thick.

6

Add Morton's nature seasoning and Lawry's seasoning salt to the batter for flavor, mixing until well combined.

7

Check the oil temperature by looking for ripples in the pot, ensuring it's hot but not smoking before frying the shrimp.

8

Dredge the cleaned shrimp in the batter and drop them into the hot oil to fry until golden brown.
