Start by making lemon pepper seasoning: combine black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, onion powder, and lemon zest in a small bowl.
Zest a large lemon to get 1 teaspoon of zest, avoiding the white part to prevent bitterness.
Mix the lemon zest into the seasoning until fully combined and set aside.
Separate 1 kg of chicken wings into flats and drumettes using a sharp knife, optionally keeping the wing tip.
Pat dry the chicken wings with a paper towel.
Preheat the oven to 220° Celsius for 10 minutes.
Line a baking tray with foil and place a grill on top.
In a mixing bowl, combine corn starch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and a heaped teaspoon of lemon pepper seasoning.
Mix the dry ingredients with your fingertips until combined, then coat the chicken wings in the mixture.
Transfer the coated chicken wings to the baking tray, ensuring they are spaced apart.
Bake the chicken wings at 220° Celsius for 40 to 50 minutes.
While the wings are baking, prepare the honey lemon pepper sauce by adding 1/3 cup honey and 1/4 cup lemon juice to a pan.
Reduce the flame to low and stir in 1/4 cup water and 1 tablespoon corn starch to thicken the sauce.
Add the remaining lemon pepper seasoning and cayenne powder or chili flakes to the sauce and cook for 1 minute, then set aside.
Prepare crinkled fries by peeling and washing 3 large potatoes, then cutting them into crinkled fries with a crinkled knife.
Wash the cut fries several times until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
Heat cooking oil in a frying pan and check readiness by dropping in one potato; if it bubbles, the oil is ready.
Fry the crinkled fries for 2 to 3 minutes, avoiding overcrowding the pan.
While the fries are cooking, make the barbecue sauce by mixing 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt vinegar, and 1/4 cup water in a small bowl.
Simmer the barbecue sauce on low for 1 to 2 minutes until thickened, then set aside.
In a bowl, add the fried chicken wings and season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, onion powder, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, and 1 tablespoon corn starch to help crisp them up.
Coat the chicken wings with the seasoning, then shake off excess oil and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
Double fry the crinkled fries for 1 to 2 minutes until crispy, then transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Fry the seasoned chicken wings for 8 to 10 minutes until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Once done, transfer the chicken wings to a bowl and coat with the honey lemon pepper sauce.
