Combine soy sauce, xiao jing, black vinegar, hot chili sauce, sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil in a saucepan or high-sided frying pan with vegetable oil

Mix the sauce ingredients together until well combined

Add the whole block of silken tofu into the sauce

Poach the tofu in the sauce for about 5 minutes, occasionally spooning sauce over it

Slice 2 or 3 green onions while the tofu is cooking

Carefully lift the tofu out of the sauce and cut it into about 8 pieces

Plate the tofu and pour the sauce over the top

Garnish with sliced green onions and deep fried shallots
