1

Gather ingredients: 1.5 pounds eye of round beef, 1 cup dried blueberries, 2 tablespoons melted lard, and sugar.

2

Freeze the beef for easier slicing.

3

Cut the beef into very thin strips.

4

Place the beef strips on a rack and put it in the oven at 170 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit for about 4 hours until completely crisp and dry.

5

Check the beef; it should be rock hard and completely dry.

6

Grind the dried beef using a food processor or blender until it becomes a dry fluffy powder.

7

Add 1 cup of dried blueberries to the ground beef; you can keep the berries a little chunky for texture.

8

Add 2 tablespoons of melted lard and sugar to taste to the mixture.

9

Mix everything together until well combined.

10

Form the mixture into bite-sized patties or bits.
