🥗Healthier: oats

💰Cheaper: crushed cornflakes

Oats provide fiber and are healthier, while crushed cornflakes can be more economical.

1

In a grinder, add 1 cup fresh green peas, 3/4 cup fresh cilantro, 1 inch ginger, and 2 green chilies.

2

Grind these ingredients together until well blended, adding 1-2 tablespoons of water if needed.

3

Transfer the mixture to a bowl.

4

Add 2 boiled potatoes to the bowl.

5

Mix in 1 tablespoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder, and 1 tablespoon amchur powder.

6

Mix everything well, ensuring there are no large pieces of potato; you can grate the potatoes if preferred.

7

Add 3 tablespoons rice flour and 1/2 cup besan to the mixture and mix thoroughly.

8

If the mixture is too wet, add a little more besan or rice flour until it holds together well.

9

Form the mixture into small patties, adjusting the size as desired.

10

Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying.

11

Once the oil is hot, add the patties to the pan.

12

Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown as well.

13

Flip the patties 2-3 times to ensure even cooking and a crispy texture.

14

Once cooked, remove the patties and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
