Tofu Humba

Cultural Context

Tofu Humba is a delightful vegetarian twist on the traditional Filipino Humba, a braised pork dish that originated from the Visayas region. This dish is cherished for its rich, savory flavor, often enjoyed during family gatherings and special occasions. The use of tofu makes it accessible for vegetarians while still capturing the essence of the original recipe. In modern times, Tofu Humba has gained popularity beyond the Philippines, appealing to those seeking plant-based alternatives.
