Season with spices: pepper, paprika, and dry Italian herbs, and add a couple cups of water.
Simmer the mixture on low heat for about 20 minutes until ready.
For dinner, mention using prepared pelmeni, boiling them in water until cooked through.
Serve pelmeni with a dollop of sour cream.
