1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup cold water
2 medium carrots
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup fresh dill

Cook the potatoes and eggs in slightly salted water.

Dice the onion and place it in a small bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon vinegar, and about a quarter cup cold water to the onion and mix.

Let the onion marinate for about 15 minutes.

Peel the carrot and grate it, then set it aside.
