Beef Caldereta

2 lbs beef chuck, cut into cubes
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 carrots, sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 cup green peas
1 cup beef broth
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup liver spread
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.

Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides.

Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce, then stir in the soy sauce and liver spread.

Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and chili flakes if using.
