Start by showing the ingredients: minced garlic, minced onions, salt, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, diced potatoes, 1/2 cup of carrots (optional), 1 cup of sweet peas, 1 cup of raisins, 2 lbs of ground beef, and 6 boiled eggs cut into halves.
Heat canola cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add minced onions and sauté until softened.
Add 2 lbs of ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
Season the beef with 2 teaspoons of salt and 2 teaspoons of pepper; adjust to taste.
Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce to the beef mixture.
Cover the skillet and let the mixture cook until the beef is tender, about 5 minutes.
Add diced potatoes to the beef mixture and stir.
Add optional carrots and 1 cup of sweet peas to the mixture and stir.
Add 1 cup of raisins to the mixture and stir.
Taste the mixture and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Transfer the filling to a dish and let it cool before wrapping in dough.
Open the package of ready-made empanada dough (brand: Goya).
Take 2 to 3 tablespoons of the filling and place it in the center of an empanada dough circle.
Add a piece of hard-boiled egg to the filling.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape.
Press the edges with fingers to seal, then use a fork to crimp the edges for a tight seal.
