1/4 cup ghee
few cashew nuts
1 tsp pepper corns
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp chopped ginger
pinch of asafoetida powder
few curry leaves

Rinse and soak the raw rice and moong dal in water for 30 minutes.

In a pressure cooker, add the soaked rice & dal, salt & water. Pressure cook till done.

In a pan, heat 1/4 cup ghee. Roast the cashew nuts, pepper corns, cumin seeds, and chopped ginger.

Turn off the flame and add asafoetida powder and curry leaves. Mix well.

Add the roasted ingredients to the cooked rice & dal. Mix well. Done!
