Dry roast 1/4 cup of moong dal until well roasted and fragrant, then transfer to a bowl.

In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee, add cashew nuts, and fresh curry leaves.

Open the pressure cooker to reveal the cooked rice and dal, which should be soft and mushy.
