Start with minced beef in a pot.

Add diced onion and salt to the pot.

Pour in some water and cover the pot to bring it to a boil until well cooked.

Once cooked, sieve the minced beef to separate it from the stock, reserving 2-4 tablespoons of meat stock for later use.
