In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Add in 1 3/4 cups of buttermilk, 2 large eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 cup of melted butter to the dry ingredients and whisk until combined.

Preheat the waffle iron (using a Belgian waffle maker in this case).

Pour about 1/2 cup of batter into the preheated waffle iron, adjusting based on the shape of your waffle maker.

Cook until steam stops coming out of the waffle maker, indicating the waffle is done.

Remove the waffle using a fork and repeat until all batter is used.
