4 servings
Servings4
3 slices bread (3 inches thick)
2 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
1/3 cup whole milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
4 whole eggs
1 1/3 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 quart frying oil
2 bananas
1

Slice the bread into 3-inch thick pieces.

2

Prepare the strawberry sauce by blending 2 1/2 cups of sliced strawberries with 1/3 cup of whole milk until smooth.

3

Make cinnamon sugar by combining 3/4 cup of sugar with 2 tablespoons of cinnamon in a large bowl.

4

In a large bowl, whisk together 4 whole eggs, 1 1/3 cups of whole milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon to create the batter.

5

Heat 1 quart of frying oil in a large deep pot to 350°F.

6

Cut the bananas in half lengthwise and create a hole in the middle of the bread to fit the banana pieces.

7

Stuff the banana pieces into the hole in the bread, covering with scraps if necessary.

8

Dip the stuffed bread into the batter, ensuring all sides are coated, and let excess drip off.

9

Carefully place the bread into the hot oil and fry for about 6 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.

10

Remove the fried toast from the oil and drain excess oil on a wire rack.

11

Roll the fried toast in the cinnamon sugar until completely coated.

12

Serve topped with the strawberry sauce.
