1 1/3 Cups Milk or Cream
1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1 Loaf of Bread, uncut (I used cinnamon brioche)
2 Bananas
Oil for frying
3/4 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoons Cinnamon

Combine 3/4 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a shallow bowl or pie pan to make the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and sugar to make the batter.

Slice the bread into 6 thick pieces.

Cut a slit into the top of each slice to create a pocket in the bread.

Peel and cut the bananas in half, then slice them in half length-wise.

Stuff two banana slices into each bread pocket.

Heat the oil over medium high heat until it reaches about 350 degrees.

Dip the Tonga Toast in the batter, covering both sides.

Carefully place the bread in the oil using tongs.

Fry the French Toast on each side for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Remove the toast from the pan and allow it to drain on a paper towel.
