Break 2 eggs into a bowl.
Add approximately 10 g of anise seeds to the eggs.
Add 8 g of salt to the egg mixture.
Add 150 g of butter or margarine to the mixture.
Mix everything well by hand.
Weigh out 400 g of manioc flour and add it to the mixture.
Add 50 g of cornstarch to the flour mixture.
Add 180 g of cheese to the mixture and mix well.
Gradually add 100 ml of milk to form a slightly firm dough.
Shape the dough into larger rings or 'argollas'.
Preheat the oven to maximum temperature.
Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet.
Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
