Put the washed rice in the pot.

Add 3 cups of water to the pot.

Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a boil for about 7 to 10 minutes.

Once boiling, check for bubbles and a little liquid remaining.

Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.

Let it cook on low for about 20 minutes.
