In a bowl, combine 600 g of flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar, and 0.5 tablespoon of salt.
Mix in 10 g of dry yeast directly into the flour mixture.
Add 25 g of margarine, 1 whole egg, and 300 ml of milk to the mixture.
Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and mix everything together.
Knead the dough for about 15 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a plastic bag and let it rest for 20 minutes.
For the filling, mix 200 g of sugar, 130 g of margarine, and 50 g of grated coconut until it forms a paste.
Roll out the rested dough into a rectangular shape.
Spread the prepared paste evenly over the dough.
Roll the dough tightly into a log shape.
Seal the log by brushing the edge with the remaining egg.
Cut the rolled dough into pieces using three fingers as a guide for height.
Place the pieces in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are not touching each other.
Let the pieces rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) 10 minutes before baking.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, keeping an eye on them as oven times may vary.
Once baked, optionally sprinkle with grated coconut or drizzle with condensed milk before serving.
