1

In a container, add 200ml of milk.

2

Add 1/4 cup of sugar and 10g of dry biological yeast. If using fresh yeast, use 30g instead.

3

Mix well.

4

Add 2 whole eggs and 1/4 cup of melted butter or margarine.

5

Mix well again.

6

Add 2 1/2 cups of flour all at once, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence.

7

Mix well with a spatula until the gluten develops, noting the soft texture.

8

Cover with plastic wrap and a dish towel, letting it rest until it doubles in volume for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

9

After resting, mix the dough a little.

10

Grease a baking pan (33 X 22 X 6.5cm) with oil.

11

Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking pan using oiled hands.

12

Cover again with plastic wrap and a dish towel, letting it rest for another 20 to 25 minutes.

13

In another container, use 1/2 cup of butter at ointment stage and add 1/3 cup of sugar. Mix until smooth.

14

Add 100g of finely grated coconut and mix well until smooth, reserving a little for later.

15

Use the rested dough and make several holes in it with a greased utensil or your hands.

16

Fill the holes with the coconut mixture and spread the remainder on top of the dough.

17

Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).

18

Place the baking pan on top of an aluminum baking sheet before putting it in the oven.

19

Bake for approximately 40 minutes until golden.

20
