Hilsha Fish - 7 pcs
Sour yogurt - 1 Cup
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Salt - To taste
Oil - 1/3 Cup
Chopped onion - 2 pieces (big)
Green chilli - 8-10 pcs
Sugar - 1 tsp
Biryani Masala - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 3 shreds
Cardamom - 4 pcs
Bay leaf - 2 pcs
Basmati Rice - 0.5 KG
Water - 4 Cups

Take a bowl to add sour yogurt, chili powder, cumin powder, and salt mix well to make a paste.

Marinate hilsha fish with the paste and keep aside for few mins.

Fry chopped onions with cooking oil until light brown.

In the same oil put the excess marinate paste and cook for a few mins with the lid closed.

Saute and add sugar then biryani masala.

Mix well and add hilsa fish.

Add green chilies and cook for 5 minutes on low heat with the lid on.

Garnish with fried onions and close the lid to keep aside.

Take a big pan of water and add salt, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, oil to boil for 2-3 mins.

Pull off all ingredients and add washed basmati rice.

Cook the rice 70% and remove.

Take a pan and garnish with ghee.

Add the fish between two layers of rice.

Garnish with fried onions and cook (Dum) for 15 minutes on low heat with the lid on.
