1 tbsp red chilly powder

3 - 4 tbsp coconut oil
5 - 6 shallots
5 - 6 cloves garlic
a small piece ginger
curry leaves
4 - 5 green chillies
3 medium onion
1 large tomato
a handful cashews
2 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
3/4 - 1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp fennel seeds powder
1 - 2 tbsp meat masala
a handful coriander leaves
1/2 - 3/4 cup coconut milk
1 tbsp ghee
3 cups white raw rice
hot water (to grind the rice)
1/2 - 3/4 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup grated coconut
2 - 3 tbsp coconut oil
