Cultural Context

Originating from China, stir-frying is a traditional cooking technique that emphasizes quick cooking over high heat, preserving the vibrant colors and textures of vegetables. Kai lan, or Chinese broccoli, is a staple in many Asian cuisines, often paired with rich meats like wagyu beef, which is known for its marbling and tenderness. This dish is a celebration of flavors and textures, showcasing the balance of savory sauces with the freshness of the greens. Today, it is enjoyed in various forms around the world, often adapted to local tastes and available ingredients.
