Fill a large pot with 3 quarts of water.

Bring the water to a rolling boil.

Add 1 cup of raw organic sugar to the boiling water and stir until dissolved.

Add 2 large black tea bags and 2 small Earl Grey tea bags to the pot.

Remove the pot from heat and allow the tea to cool completely.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water, then rinse with vinegar and clean water.

Take 3/4 cup of the kombucha liquid and place it into a clean container for the starter.

Remove the scoby from the kombucha and place it into the reserved kombucha liquid.

Pour the kombucha liquid into sanitized mason jars, using a funnel if available.

Add additional sugar and fruit (Fuji apple and strawberries) to the jars for flavoring.

Seal the jars and let them sit at room temperature for 3-5 days for carbonation.
