Fresh fruit enhances flavor with fewer additives.

Boil water and add 20 bags of Lipton decaffeinated black tea.

Remove the tea bags and squeeze out the tea.

Turn off the heat and add 3 cups of sugar, stirring until dissolved.

Allow the sweetened tea to cool down to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

Add the scoby to the cooled tea.

Cover the jar with a breathable cloth and secure it with a rubber band.

Let it sit at room temperature for 7 to 10 days to ferment.

After fermentation, pour the kombucha into bottles, leaving some tea in the jar as starter tea.

Refrigerate the bottles immediately to stop fermentation and prevent bitterness.
