1 sterile glass jar (over 1 liter capacity)

Boil 1 liter of pure or filtered water in a glass jug.

Cover the jar with cheesecloth and secure it with a rubber band.

Place the kombucha brew in a cupboard or pantry away from sunlight for 7 to 10 days.

Check the taste of the kombucha at day 7 to see if it has reached your desired flavor.

Once fermented, strain off the kombucha into a glass container that can be sealed.
