1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup cream of wheat
1/4 cup chopped almonds
1/4 cup chopped pistachios

In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, grated nutmeg, cardamom, and vanilla essence. Stir until sugar dissolves and bring to a simmer. Keep on low heat.

Add finely chopped maraschino cherries and golden raisins to the milk mixture and set aside.

In another pan, melt ghee and unsalted butter together.

Add cream of wheat to the ghee and butter mixture and roast on medium heat for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

Add chopped almonds and pistachios to the roasted cream of wheat and stir for 30 seconds.

Increase heat to high and gradually add the warm milk mixture in three batches, stirring continuously until absorbed.

Once the mixture is cooked and has the desired texture, remove from heat and transfer to a glass dish, spreading evenly.

Top with additional chopped almonds and pistachios, then score into squares before it cools.
