Drain and rinse the soaked moong dal.
Boil the moong dal in water until soft, about 20-25 minutes.
Drain excess water and mash the dal until smooth.
In a pan, heat ghee over medium heat until melted.
Add the mashed dal to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously.
Stir in sugar and mix until dissolved, about 3-4 minutes.
Grease a tray with ghee and pour the mixture into it.
Spread evenly and smooth the top with a spatula.
Let it cool at room temperature for 2 hours.
Cut into squares or diamond shapes.
