Melt 1/4 cup ghee in a pan over medium heat.
Add 1 cup milk powder to the melted ghee and mix well until fully combined.
Pour in 1 cup condensed milk and stir continuously for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Add 1/2 cup sugar and keep stirring until the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, about 5 minutes.
Incorporate 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder and mix thoroughly for another minute.
Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes.
Grease a tray with ghee and pour the mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
Press down the mixture firmly to set.
Garnish with 1/4 cup chopped nuts and a pinch of saffron strands on top.
Allow to cool completely at room temperature for at least 1 hour.
Cut into squares or desired shapes.
