1

In a heated saucepan over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and let it come to temperature.

2

Add the diced onion and chopped red bell pepper to the pan and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.

3

After 4 minutes, add in 3/4 pound of ground beef and break it down, mixing it well with the onion and red bell pepper until browned.

4

Drain the cooked ground beef of all excess grease.

5

Add 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon adobo all-purpose seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon onion powder to the beef, mixing until well combined.

6

Add 3 large minced garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to the mixture and mix until well combined.

7

Pour in 2 and 1/2 cups of chicken broth and 1/2 cup of tomato sauce, mixing until well combined, and bring to a simmer.

8

Once simmering, add in 1 and 1/2 cups of dry orzo pasta and mix well. Lower the heat and cover, letting it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until the orzo is al dente, stirring occasionally.

9

Once the orzo is al dente, add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream and the chopped spinach, mixing until well combined, and let it cook for about 1 more minute until the spinach has wilted.

10

Serve the ground beef orzo, optionally sprinkling with grated Parmesan cheese.
