1

Prepare a 2 serving portion of the dish.

2

Slice 1/3-1/2 onion and set aside.

3

Shred 1/3-1/2 cup of carrots and set aside.

4

Mince 1 garlic clove and set aside.

5

Chop 1 cup of Napa cabbage (or substitute) and set aside.

6

To convert spaghetti into noodles, bring a pot of water to a boil and add 2 tsp-1 tbsp of baking soda per quart of water; season with salt if desired.

7

Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until done, keeping an eye on it as the baking soda can cause it to foam and overflow.

8

Once cooked, strain the spaghetti and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.

9

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until well browned and fat is rendered, about 5-7 minutes.

10

Add the sliced onion, shredded carrots, and minced garlic to the skillet; stir-fry until vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.

11

Add the chopped Napa cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry until tender, about 2-3 minutes.

12

In a bowl, mix together 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp hoisin sauce, 1/2 tsp Malaysian caramel dark soy sauce, 1 tsp Japanese rice vinegar, and a few drops of sesame oil.

13

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the stir-fry sauce; mix well until everything is combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

14

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
