1 cup 2nd coconut milk
2 dried red chilli

Grind 2 pods of garlic, 6 shallots, ginger, green chilli, fennel seeds, whole pepper, and curry leaf along with salt to make a marinade.

Heat a pan and add coconut oil and curry leaf.

Put the fish in the pan and shallow fry for 5 minutes on both sides.

Heat an earthen pot or kadai and add coconut oil.

Add 8 garlic cloves, 10 shallots, 2 dried red chillies, and curry leaf; sauté.

Add the 2nd coconut milk and the fried fish.

Cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame and then add the 1st coconut milk; heat for 2 minutes and turn off the heat.
