salt - ½ tsp
red chilli powder - ½ tsp
turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
lemon juice - 1 tbsp
coconut oil (for frying) - 2 tbsp

green chilli (roughly cut) - 3 nos
curry leaves - 20 nos
onion (sliced) - 1 cup
turmeric powder - ½ tsp
coriander powder - 2 tsp
salt - ½ tsp
tomato (sliced) - ¼ cup
coconut milk (2nd press) - 1 cup
vinegar - 1 ½ tsp
coconut milk (1st press) - 1 cup
curry leaves - 10 nos

Marinate the fish slices in salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and lemon juice.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish for 2 minutes on each side. Set them aside.

Heat 2 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan. Add the ginger, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves and onion.

Saute until the onion turns translucent.

Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Saute until the raw smell goes away.

Add the sliced tomatoes along with the 2nd press coconut milk. Bring it to a boil.

Add the fried fish into the gravy. Drizzle the vinegar into the pan. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Reduce the flame to low and add in the 1st press coconut milk. Mix it by gently swirling the pan around. Avoid using a ladle/spoon to prevent the fish from breaking. Turn off the heat after 30 seconds.

Sprinkle curry leaves and coconut oil on top. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
