450 - 500g fresh asparagus
1 large onion
1 ½ inch fresh ginger
5 – 6 cloves garlic
3 – 4 fresh green chili
1 green (or red) capsicum (bell pepper)
3 – 4 sticks spring onion
1 ¼ Tbsp red chili flakes
4 Tbsp soy sauce
3 ½ Tbsp corn starch
1 ½ Tbsp sesame seeds
3 Tbsp sesame oil
4 – 5 Tbsp oil
salt to taste

Cut the beef thinly, wash, and dry it with a paper towel.

Cut the asparagus and remove the bottom hard part.

Cut the onion and capsicum as shown in the video.

Chop the garlic and ginger.

Cut the green chili into juliennes.

In a bowl, dissolve 2 Tbsp of corn starch and keep it aside.

Marinate the beef with salt, soy sauce, sesame oil, corn starch, and some vinegar.

In a large wok, heat oil and sauté garlic, ginger, and the white part of spring onion for 3 minutes.

Add the marinated beef and sesame seeds, and red chili flakes. Sauté on high flame for about 8 – 10 minutes.

Add the asparagus and green chilies, some soy sauce, and some water. Close the lid and cook on medium flame for about 6 – 7 minutes.

Add the green capsicum and cook on high flame for 2 – 3 minutes.

Add the onion and cook on high flame for the final 2 – 3 minutes.

Add the dissolved corn starch and mix everything.

Finally, add the spring onion and it’s ready to serve.
