Chop 2 onions finely.
In a pot or pan, add 3 tablespoons of corn or sunflower oil and the chopped onions.
Cook the onions over medium-low heat until translucent, covering with a lid to evaporate liquid.
Once the onions are ready, remove from heat and set aside.
Blend 500 grams of corn kernels with half of the total milk until slightly textured, not pureed.
In a bowl, combine the blended corn, the rest of the milk, and 2 large eggs. Mix well until homogeneous.
Add the sautéed onions to the mixture and stir to combine.
Incorporate 100 grams of grated cheese into the mixture, reserving some for topping.
Grease a 20x20 cm baking dish with butter or margarine.
Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish.
Layer 500 grams of fresh cheese on top of the mixture, covering it well.
Sprinkle the reserved grated cheese on top.
Bake in the oven at 180-200°C for 40 minutes or until golden and firm.
