Potato - 5/6
Green chilli - 2
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Oil - 2 tbsp
Nigella seeds (Kalonji) - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Soak the poppy seeds in water for a few hours and then grind them into a paste.

Peel and chop the potatoes into cubes.

Heat oil in a pan and add nigella seeds.

Add the chopped potatoes and sauté until they start to soften.

Add the green chillies and ginger, followed by turmeric powder and Kashmiri red chilli powder.

Mix in the poppy seed paste and salt, and cook until the potatoes are fully cooked.

Garnish with coriander leaves before serving.
