1

Grind 1 cup of cashew nuts in batches using pulse mode until you have a dry smooth cashew powder.

2

In a heavy-bottomed pan, combine 1 cup of besan flour, 1 cup of finely powdered cashew nuts, and 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar. Mix thoroughly while the stove is off.

3

Pour in 1 cup of ghee and 1 cup of boiled and cooled milk. Mix until a thick and uniform mixture forms.

4

Turn on the stove to low heat and continuously stir the mixture to prevent burning.

5

Add a pinch of cardamom powder and a few strands of saffron to the mixture for flavor and color.

6

Gradually increase the flame slightly as the mixture thickens and bubbles start to appear.

7

Continue stirring until the mixture turns glossy and thick, and begins to pull away from the sides of the pan.

8

Once the mixture forms a soft shiny mass that pulls away cleanly from the pan, turn off the heat and allow it to cool completely at room temperature.
