Add 800 milliliters of filtered water to a pot.

Stir in 1.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.5 teaspoons of turmeric powder into the water.

While the lentils are cooking, heat 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a pan over low heat until melted.

Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, minced garlic, and minced ginger to the pan; mix to prevent burning.

Add 300 grams of washed and cut spinach to the pan, stirring to wilt it down.

Cook the lentils for 14 minutes on medium to high heat until all the water has evaporated.
