Turkey Burgers

93% lean ground turkey
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Grate the onion and pat out excess moisture.

Use a microplane to grate the garlic into fine pieces.

In a bowl, combine ground turkey, grated onion, grated garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.

Mix the ingredients with your hands until just combined.

Divide the mixture into four portions, about a third pound or six ounces each.

Spritz your hands with cooking spray to handle the wet mixture and shape each portion into a rough burger shape.

Place the shaped burgers on a baking sheet and put them in the freezer to chill for at least 20 minutes.

Preheat the grill for medium-high direct heat grilling, about 450 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rub the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking using a paper towel and tongs.

Remove the burgers from the freezer and form them into patties slightly larger than the size of the buns, pressing an indent in the center.

Place the patties on the grill and cook for about six to seven minutes per side.

If making cheeseburgers, add cheese in the last two to three minutes of grilling.

Serve the burgers on buttery brioche buns with lettuce, onion, and tomato.
