Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt to create the glaze.
  3. 3Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. 4Brush the honey glaze generously over the salmon fillets.
  5. 5Arrange the broccoli florets around the salmon on the baking sheet.
  6. 6Drizzle a little olive oil over the broccoli and season with salt and pepper.
  7. 7Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. 8If desired, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to caramelize the glaze on the salmon.
  9. 9Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
  10. 10Serve hot with the roasted broccoli on the side.

  • 1 medium head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 2 medium apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water

Instructions

  1. 1In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. 2Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3Add the sausage to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. 4Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  5. 5In the same skillet, add the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6Add the sliced apples, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds (if using) to the skillet and stir to combine.
  7. 7Pour in the chicken broth or water and bring to a simmer.
  8. 8Return the sausage to the skillet, cover, and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the sausage is cooked through.
  9. 9Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
