Guava Jam

Wash the guavas and remove the tips to avoid insects.

Chop the guavas into pieces, about four to eight pieces each.

Blend the chopped guavas with 500 milliliters of water until it resembles a puree.

Pour the guava puree into a saucepan and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.

After about 25 minutes, remove the guava mixture and pass it through a sieve to strain.

Use a spoon to stir while straining to extract all the juices.

Add 2 cups of sugar, half of a freshly squeezed lime, and a quarter teaspoon of ginger powder to the strained guava juice.

Cover the mixture and allow it to cook for about 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, check the consistency; if it has reduced to half but is not quite ready, cook for another 10 minutes.

After 10 more minutes, remove from heat and stir to cool down.

Pour the guava jam into your desired container and place it in the refrigerator to cool down and thicken.
