Maple syrup is a natural sweetener, while corn syrup is often less expensive.

peanut butter

💰Cheaper: sunflower seed butter

Almond butter is healthier, while sunflower seed butter is often cheaper and nut-free.

chocolate chips

🥗Healthier: dark chocolate chips

Dark chocolate chips provide antioxidants, while cocoa powder can be a budget-friendly option.

Fresh fruit is healthier but may not have the same shelf life as dried options.

1

In a large bowl, stir together cereal, nut butter, sweetener, and protein powder until everything is combined and cereal is evenly coated. If you notice your mixture is crumbly, add a small amount more of liquid sweetener.

2

Line a 8x8” glass pan with parchment paper, then press over cereal mixture.

3

In a separate small bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time until melted. Drizzle chocolate evenly over cereal, then freeze for 1 hour to set.

4

Remove the pan from the freezer and lift out parchment paper. Use a knife to cut into 9 square bars.

5

Store cereal bars in the fridge for up to 1 week or the freezer for up to 3 months.
