2 cups spinach (palak), chopped
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, pureed
2 green chilies, slit
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Stir in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, sauté for another minute.

Add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.

Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt; mix well.

Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted.

Stir in the chickpeas and garam masala, mix well.

Add a little water if the mixture is too thick, and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
