2 teaspoons salt

1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 tablespoons Mrs. Balls peach apricot chutney
1.5 pounds 80/20 ground beef
1 large egg
1 cup milk
bay leaves
1 cup rice
2 cups water

Chop 1 large onion or 2 medium onions and add to pot.

Add 3-4 cloves of garlic to the pot.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of curry powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric, 2 teaspoons of salt, and black pepper to taste.

Add 1/4 cup of raisins and 1/4 cup of slivered almonds to the pot.

Incorporate 2 tablespoons of Mrs. Balls peach apricot chutney into the mixture.

Add 1.5 pounds of 80/20 ground beef to the pot and cook over high heat.

Taste the mixture for seasoning and adjust salt if necessary.

Prepare an egg custard by whisking together 1 large egg, 1 cup of milk, and a pinch of salt until smooth.

Pour the egg custard over the meat mixture in the pot.

Add bay leaves on top of the mixture.

Place the pot in a preheated 350°F oven and cook for about 25 minutes.

For the turmeric rice, combine 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric in a pot.

Bring to a simmer, cover with a lid, reduce heat to low, and cook for about 17 minutes.
