Heat up a skillet with a mixture of oil and butter.

Fry chopped regular white onions in the skillet until soft and translucent.

Add minced garlic to the onions and sauté.

Stir in turmeric and curry powder into the onion mixture.

Mix in the lamb and beef until well combined.

Break an egg into a bowl and whisk it.

Add dried apricots, granny smith apple, bread crumbs, raisins, lemon zest, lemon juice, and orange juice to the meat mixture.

Stir in toasted almonds and season with black pepper.

Transfer the mixture into a baking dish, filling it halfway.

Insert bay leaves into the mixture.

Cover the dish with foil and bake in the oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
