500g lean beef mince
4-5 teaspoons curry powder
4 dessert spoons mango chutney
a handful of sultanas
1 medium onion
1 apple
0.5 pint milk
1 slice of bread
2 eggs
salt
pepper
tomato puree
a few bay leaves

Use about 500g of lean beef mince.

Add 4-5 teaspoons of curry powder.

Incorporate 4 dessert spoons of mango chutney.

Add a handful of sultanas.

Chop 1 medium onion and 1 apple into small pieces.

Soak 1 slice of bread in 0.5 pint of milk.

Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onion, cooking for about a minute.

Add the beef mince in batches, browning it and mixing it with the onions.

Season with salt and pepper while browning the meat.

Add curry powder, mixing it in for less than a minute.

Add sultanas, chopped apple, mango chutney, and soaked bread to the mixture and stir.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, then transfer to a baking dish.

Cover with tin foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.

Mix 2 eggs with remaining milk, salt, and pepper for the topping.

After baking, pour the egg mixture over the dish and add bay leaves on top.

Bake uncovered for another 30 minutes at 180°C.
