Whole wheat flour increases fiber content.
Add 1 kilogram of flour to a large bowl.
Add dry yeast to the flour.
Add 1 tablespoon of cardamom and 150 grams of sugar, then stir to combine.
Melt 170 grams of butter and add it to the mixture.
Pour in 400 milliliters of milk that has been heated to 37 degrees Celsius.
Add 2 eggs to the mixture.
Knead the dough until it becomes firm.
Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes, ensuring it is not too cold.
If the dough is too cold, place it in an oven set to 50 degrees Celsius to rise.
Once risen, knead the dough again and roll it out into a rectangle.
Spread about 100 grams of butter over half of the dough.
Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of cinnamon and 100 grams of sugar over the buttered half.
Fold the dough over and twist it to form knots instead of rolling it.
Place the knots on baking paper on a baking sheet.
Let the buns rise for another 30 minutes.
Brush the buns with egg or melted butter before baking.
Bake the buns for about 7 minutes at 225 degrees Celsius.
Let them cool slightly but eat them warm.
